Tilak Mehta: The Teen Entrepreneur Who Revolutionized Mumbai’s Logistics Industry

:- Introdution
At an age when most teenagers are busy with studies and hobbies, Tilak Mehta was busy building a business. At just 13 years old, he founded Papers N Parcels (PNP), a Mumbai-based logistics startup, revolutionizing the way documents and small parcels are delivered within the city.

Today, his startup works with Mumbai’s famous Dabbawalas, offering same-day delivery services, proving that age is no barrier to entrepreneurship.

Early Life & Inspiration

Born in Mumbai in 2006, Tilak Mehta was like any other school-going kid. However, a small incident sparked his business idea.

One day, he needed some books from across the city, but his father was too tired after work to fetch them. Hiring a courier service was expensive and slow. That’s when Tilak realized the need for a faster, affordable intra-city delivery service for small parcels.

His curiosity turned into an idea—why not use Mumbai’s highly efficient Dabbawala network for parcel delivery?

The Birth of Papers N Parcels (PNP)

In 2018, at just 13 years old, Tilak Mehta launched Papers N Parcels, a digital courier service that delivers small parcels, documents, and papers within 24 hours across Mumbai.

His idea was simple yet innovative:
✅ Use Mumbai’s Dabbawala network (famous for lunchbox deliveries) to deliver parcels.
✅ Provide an affordable alternative to traditional courier services.
✅ Use technology to manage and track deliveries efficiently.

With the help of his mentor and co-founder, Gopal Ganesh, and a team of over 200 employees, he built the company from scratch.

Growth & Success

  • PNP started with a mobile app, allowing users to book deliveries, track parcels, and make payments online.
  • It partnered with Mumbai’s 5,000+ Dabbawalas, who already had an efficient delivery system in place.
  • The company now delivers over 1,200 parcels daily across Mumbai.
  • Major companies and banks, including Forbes India and the Bank of Baroda, became PNP’s clients.
